Job Title: Facility and Maintenance Engineer
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facility and Maintenance Engineer to oversee the upkeep and servicing of our production infrastructure, machinery, and tools. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities meet both present and future operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute infrastructure initiatives, focusing on electrical systems, HVAC, and fire safety measures.
- Ensure the smooth integration of specialized equipment within building systems for peak performance.
- Conduct and coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair operations for production and testing facilities.
- Manage contracts with facility service providers.
- Lead the establishment of a maintenance framework, including a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and related processes for production equipment.
- Oversee spare parts and equipment inventory, ensuring regular stock assessments.
- Supervise and coordinate external service providers, including suppliers and contractors.
- Identify and analyze facility-related challenges, performing root cause assessments.
- Support and drive improvement initiatives in collaboration with various stakeholders to mitigate incidents.
Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- Completed technical apprenticeship, Bachelor of Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Facilities Engineering position or a related field (apprenticeship experience will be considered).
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, air supply, and fire protection.
- Capability to assess technical work effectively.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to building systems.
- Certification as an electrician and experience in electrical work is advantageous.
- Ability to execute tasks accurately in line with internal processes and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2) and German (minimum B1).
- A hands-on approach to work.
- Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and methodical.
