Operations Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronician to join our team at the Road Transit Hub Wiesbaden. As an Operations Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of automated package handling systems and building services in our logistics center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated package handling systems and building services
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to ensure high system availability
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure high system availability and performance
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks on driven conveyor systems and measurement and weighing technology for packages and cargo
  • Perform independent fault clearance of automated conveyor systems and building services
  • Work in rotating shifts and on-call duty

Requirements

  • Completed (recognized by the Chamber of Commerce) vocational training as a Mechatronics Technician, Electrician, or equivalent qualification
  • At least two years of experience in the relevant field
  • Good knowledge of building and technical services
  • Execution of fault cause research to ensure high system availability
  • Safe handling of PCs
  • Experience in performing electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks on driven conveyor systems and measurement and weighing technology for packages and cargo
  • Experience in independent fault clearance of automated conveyor systems and building services
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts and on-call duty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SPS-based control systems
  • Experience in managing external companies
  • Basic English knowledge
  • Experience in performing shutdown procedures (LoTo) for maintenance activities
  • Experience in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to implement maintenance plans and repairs
