Avionics Technician for Rotary Wing Aircraft

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician specializing in rotary wing aircraft to perform essential maintenance and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics systems, including radar, radio, and navigation equipment in aircraft.
- Execute installation and repair of electrical wiring and cables on aircraft, ensuring compliance with established specifications.
- Prepare and maintain aircraft for inspections and service checks safely.
- Conduct scheduled inspections and assist in special inspections as required.
- Perform operational checks and troubleshoot aircraft systems using specialized tools and test equipment.
- Utilize and maintain tools, special equipment, and aircraft ground support equipment effectively.
- Carry out additional qualified duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience is required.
- Possession of FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 is necessary.
- Must hold an FAA A&P certificate with at least two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience, including two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).
- All experience must be within the last five (5) years.
- If lacking an A&P certificate, candidates must be willing to obtain an FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 and possess three (3) years of aviation maintenance experience, including rotary wing experience and two (2) years on the assigned MDS.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (NACI T1) Public Trust is essential; US Citizenship is required.
- A valid US Passport is necessary for travel.
Germany Specific Requirements:
- Must qualify for TESA approval with five years of aviation maintenance experience within the last five years.
- Willingness to travel as required to support task orders.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong communication skills and adaptability are essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems principles is required.
- Knowledge of Quality Control, Production, and Supply procedures is necessary for effective job performance.
- Able to assess when faulty systems can be repaired or require replacement parts.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of climbing, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and working in physically demanding positions.
- Ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
