Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic - Rotary Wing AM-2 to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on UH-60, CH-47, and AH-64 aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using technical documentation and special tools.
  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems and interpret technical documentation.
  • Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience required for Germany (TESA) approval.
  • A Valid FAA A&P certificate or FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3) required.
  • US Citizenship required to obtain a US Govt Clearance and/or the NAC-I T1 Public Trust.
  • Valid US Passport required for deployment.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Security Clearance, (NAC-I T1) Public Trust.
  • US Citizenship required to obtain a US Govt Clearance and/or the NAC-I T1 Public Trust.
Additional Requirements
  • Possess good communication skills and be adaptable, diversified, and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and associated systems principles.
  • Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair or replacement of new parts.
  • Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
