Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Barista to join our team at LAP Coffee. As a Senior Barista, you will be responsible for leading by example, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that every customer feels at home and leaves with a smile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, classics and special drinks.
  • Lead by example: Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring all requests are handled with professionalism.
  • Shift leading: ensure each team member has their place and tasks for the shift and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Be a brand ambassador upholding the LAP brand to the highest standards.
  • Mentor junior barista staff, providing guidance on coffee preparation techniques, customer service best practices, and product knowledge as well as performing opening and closing shadow shifts with new hires.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including the espresso machine, grinder, brewing equipment, and service counter.
  • Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate any replenishment needs to management in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures, to ensure the safety of customers and staff.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner, striving to resolve any issues to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Solving any issues that might arise in the store, with the support of management if needed.

  • Good organization and the ability to multitask.
  • Available to work on weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are energized by working with people.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and busy environment.
  • You are reliable, committed and take initiative.
  • Full fluency in English is mandatory. German is a strong plus.
  • Speciality coffee experience is a big plus.
