Data Center Security Specialist

About the Role
At A100 ROW GmbH, we're looking for a skilled Data Center Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our data centers in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate day-to-day security operations and site security activities
• Collaborate with Operations and Safety managers to ensure facility operations run smoothly
• Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel
• Evaluate contract security provider performance and request corrective actions as needed
• Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions
• Analyze data to identify improvements and extract metrics
• Verify data center security programs meet defined global security standards
• Assist in media integrity-related programs and training personnel on security policies and procedures
• Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated to the team
• Draft reports and prepare presentations on security operations status
• Collaborate with managers to write and implement security policies, processes, and procedures
• Serve as a customer advocate, identifying security opportunities and crafting innovative solutions
Requirements
• 1+ year of experience in a standards-based security and safety professional environment
• 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English
• Ability to travel between local sites as needed
• Valid driver's license, with regular driving required between company locations
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in operations, physical security, or equivalent environment
• 2+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data
• Basic knowledge of physical security systems and their operation
• Experience with workflow ticketing and ability to deal with technically challenging situations
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to maintain composure under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• 1+ years of demonstrated leadership skills and incident response experience
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools
