We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Procurement: Manage the supply base for the Langenzenn facility and develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy to ensure optimal cost, quality, and supply resilience.
• Contract Negotiations: Lead price and contract negotiations with plant-specific suppliers, leveraging your commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• New Product Development: Provide procurement support through the Rotork Development & Launch Process (RDLP), ensuring seamless integration of new products into our supply chain.
• Vendor Management: Define, manage, and maintain a robust vendor base with appropriate contracts and price frameworks, working closely with Regional Procurement Manager and Global Commodity Managers.
• Risk Management: Monitor supplier risks and work with the Supplier Development & Quality Engineers (SDQE) to drive performance improvement and mitigate potential threats.
• Value Engineering: Collaborate with the Supplier Development & Quality team and Global Commodity Managers to implement Value Add Value Engineering (VAVE), Design for Manufacture (DfM), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Should Costing opportunity evaluation.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

10+ years of procurement experience: Proven track record in sourcing, procurement, and contract management, including supplier contract development.Relevant industry experience: Familiarity with the engineering industry and its specific challenges and opportunities.Strong commercial acumen: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive business growth.Excellent communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.Negotiation and leadership skills: Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.Fluent in English: Excellent language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.Advanced Microsoft Suite skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft tools to support data analysis and reporting.
