Strategic Procurement Leader

At Rotork, we're driving innovation and growth in the global flow control industry. We're seeking a talented Senior Buyer to join our team and play a key role in shaping our procurement strategy.

We're looking for a seasoned procurement professional with 10+ years of experience in supplier contract development and negotiation. You'll be responsible for managing our supply base, developing strategic contracts, and driving cost savings initiatives.

Your focus will be on optimizing our procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers. You'll work closely with our Global Commodity Managers, Supplier Development & Quality Engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a deep understanding of commercial acumen. Your technical knowledge should include proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with MRP systems such as D365, SAP, or Oracle.

• Manage the supply base for our Langenzenn facility and develop an optimal procurement strategy balancing cost, quality, and supply resilience.
• Lead price and contract negotiations with plant-specific suppliers, working closely with the Regional Procurement Manager.
• Support site-focused New Product Development Procurement activities through the Rotork Development & Launch Process (RDLP).
• Define, manage, and maintain a set of vendors with appropriate contracts/price frameworks, guided by Regional Procurement Manager and Global Commodity Managers.
• Ensure effective delivery of Major and Minor Procurement Projects by following Rotork GSS Procurement processes.
• Collaborate with the local plant Global Supply Chain Team to understand key operations performance metrics and make balanced procurement decisions.
• Analyze key supplier performance metrics and work with the Supplier Development and Quality Engineers to drive performance improvement.
• Monitor supplier risks using relationships and tools to flag high-risk suppliers.
• Implement Value Add Value Engineering (VAVE), Design for Manufacture (DfM), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Should Costing opportunity evaluation with the Supplier Development & Quality team and Global Commodity Managers.
• Develop Key Supplier Long-Term Agreements.

• Minimum 10+ years of procurement-related experience, including supplier contract development and negotiation.
• Relevant engineering industry experience.
• Strong procurement background with evidence of strategy development.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with MRP systems like D365, SAP, or Oracle.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including health insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
