Technical Service Specialist

The Technical Service Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to customers. This involves building strong relationships with customers and adopting a customer-centric approach. The scope of the position includes a mix of technical investigation and analysis, technical presentations, and customer meetings, as well as follow-up on customer project evaluations and product qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Technical Service, Quality, Customer Care, Production, and R&D departments
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers and address their technical complaints and requests
  • Analyze samples, communicate technical solutions, and produce technical reports
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how products meet customer needs

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in engineering, materials sciences, chemistry, or physics, or a bachelor's degree in industrial sciences with significant experience
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and analytical methods like Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) Spectroscopy and Fourrier-Transformed Infra-Red (FTIR) Spectroscopy is welcome
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP, etc.) will be an asset
  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board manufacturing is welcome
  • Six sigma methods will be an advantage
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and effectively
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Independent and self-reliable
  • Well-organized with a structured mindset
