Chief Engineer, Data Center Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Chief Engineer to join our team at A100 ROW GmbH. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and daily corrective work.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide support to the team as needed.
  • Manage large-scale projects, including new region support, from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with external support groups, including engineering, automation, procurement, and finance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of UPS, backup generator systems, and generic mechanical-room infrastructure.
  • Competent in use of basic IT programs, such as MS Word/Excel.
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities or Mission Critical Plants/Production facilities.
  • Project Management experience.
