Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across Europe.

As the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a culture of safety and well-being, overseeing everything from risk management to training initiatives. You will collaborate with regional teams and ensure compliance across all our European sites, including offices, packhouses, and our avocado orchard in Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across Europe.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Oversee training programs to keep employees informed and safe.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Champion employee well-being initiatives and foster a healthy work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with European health and safety regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH) or working towards Chartership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Strong background in health and safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of European health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
