Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Westfalia Fruit in Munich, Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Support ISO 45001 Certification: Support efforts to ensure a full understanding and implementation of ISO 45001 certification standards.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate and Report Incidents: Assist in investigating and reporting on workplace incidents and accidents, and help develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices.
- Promote a Culture of Safety: Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Liaise with Regulatory Bodies: Assist in liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure the company is up-to-date with current health and safety legislation.
- Maintain Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation: Maintain knowledge of health and safety legislation in Germany, ensuring practices and policies comply with these regulations.
- Prepare and Present Reports: Help prepare and present reports on health and safety performance to senior management.
- Coordinate Health and Safety Activities: Assist in coordinating health and safety activity operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Related Field: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience in Health and Safety Role: Some prior experience in a health and safety role, ideally within an FMCG background.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and German is essential.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Health and Safety Management Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.
- Basic Knowledge of ISO 45001 Certification Standards: Basic knowledge of ISO 45001 certification standards is highly advantageous.
- Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to Assist in Thorough Investigations and Generate Comprehensive Reports: Ability to assist in thorough investigations and generate comprehensive reports.
