FORLIANCE is a leading organization in the field of nature-based climate solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager Nature Based Solutions.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented individual to develop and implement robust nature-based climate projects that integrate into sustainability strategies with our clients. The successful candidate will work closely with our global partners and team members to create intact forests and ecosystems that positively impact our climate, biodiversity, and human well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Coordinate, guide, and manage team resources to achieve project goals.
- Project Monitoring: Ensure timely completion of projects and monitor deadlines.
- Proposal Development: Develop tailor-made proposals for international organizations, donors, and companies.
- Consortium Management: Establish and manage international consortiums to compete for tenders.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews and support recruiting processes.
- Reporting: Report directly to the Management Team and work closely with technical department teams.
- Market Intelligence: Gather intelligence about international cooperation and market trends in the NBS space.
- Business Strategy: Proactively participate in business strategy to improve and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
- Education: University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in winning tenders with GIZ, World Bank, Green Climate Fund, or other national and international donors with a ticket size above 2 million USD.
- Team Management: At least 5-10 years of experience in managing international teams.
- Project Management: Proven experience in simultaneous management of different projects.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English. Spanish or French fluency is a plus, and additional languages are an advantage.
- Travel: Willingness to travel.
- Regional Experience: Professional experience in Latin America, Africa, or South-East Asia is an advantage.
