Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain POS software solutions, ensuring their functionality, stability, and security.
- Develop new features and technologies to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase point of sale efficiency.
- Ensure code quality by applying best practices in software engineering.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as the sales management team, to ensure smooth integration and operation of solutions.
- Collaborate with the testing team to ensure software quality through joint efforts.
- Actively participate in scrum activities, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, review, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve development methods and technologies to increase the efficiency and quality of work.
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a similar course of study.
- Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in the point of sale or retail environment.
- Proficiency in C# (.NET), WPF, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Aurelia.
- Strong understanding of development best practices, including Git, version control, and containerization technologies.
- Experience with database management, including SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs with versioning best practices.
- Knowledge of agile development methods, particularly Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Fluency in English is a requirement; German language skills are a plus.
