We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to join our team at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). The successful candidate will be part of the Division of Personalized Medical Oncology, led by Prof. Sonja Loges.
About the PositionThe Senior Scientist will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing own research projects, supervising junior scientists and technical staff, and contributing to the development of patient-derived model systems to predict response and overcome resistance.
Key Responsibilities- Conceptualize and develop own research projects
- Supervise junior scientists and technical staff
- Contribute to the development of patient-derived model systems
- Project planning and management
- Independent application for research grants
- Gene technology project management
- Writing of research papers
- Presentation of results in the academic community
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced scientist with a strong background in cancer biology, precision oncology, and patient-derived model systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of research excellence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and synergize with other members of the division.
