Vestas is seeking an experienced Offshore Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our offshore wind farm personnel, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide HSE support to site/facility/project management throughout the planning, preparation, and execution stages of projects. Key responsibilities include preparing and carrying out toolbox talks, internal and external HSE inspections, and meetings. The candidate will also be responsible for reporting incidents and supporting the project and management team in handling these incidents and taking necessary corrective/preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSE data
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation across projects in multiple countries
- Review and revise documents in support of the HSE Management System
- Ensure close collaboration with our customers and other stakeholders on HSE matters
- Support and advise local management on HSE matters
- Continuously review the company's Safe Systems of Work to deliver improvement
- A strong background in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) with a focus on offshore wind energy
- Experience working with HSE policies and processes
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems
- Knowledge of Risk Assessment practices, incident investigation, COSHH, and the implementation of appropriate control processes or a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- An estimated salary of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience
