Overview

As a Senior Manager, Payroll Operations, you will lead the Payroll Operations team and own the planning and implementation of our Payroll chapter. You will report to the Director of Payroll and be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with country-specific government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and scale the Payroll Operations team.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and hold them accountable.
  • Act as a partner, enabler, and coach to people leaders throughout the organization.
  • Owning the complete payroll function, ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with country-specific government regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders on all payroll-related matters.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Payroll Leadership team, identify and implement strategies and initiatives aligned with business values and objectives to support the payroll organization in achieving its goals.
  • Act as a thought partner and soundboard to People Managers in organizational planning and team management.
  • Drive organizational change within payroll, leverage data and analytics to evolve programs, and ensure that Remote is providing world-class payroll experiences.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset with a high level of emotional intelligence in daily work and your own professional development.
  • Be up to date with various international payroll laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate and country-specific regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators, and SLA metrics for the team.

Requirements

  • Work experience in regional/global payroll operations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with change.
  • Understanding of global payroll best practices.
  • Passionate about managing people and don't micromanage your reports.
  • Passionate about growth and make data-driven, well-informed decisions.
  • Analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
  • Is a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work.
  • You understand the need and ideal to work largely remotely.
