Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day management of the art team, ensuring timely delivery of assets and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with the Art Director to develop and implement the art vision and style for the project.
- Manage and prioritize tasks, ensuring effective use of resources and meeting project deadlines.
- Recruit and select staff for the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Liaise with external service providers as needed.
- Develop and maintain good working practices and structure for the project, based on scope and resources.
- Ensure good art asset standards are set and achieved across the team.
- Extensive games experience, with a minimum of 1 AAA title shipped as a Lead Artist.
- Strong management and project planning skills, with experience in recruitment and interviewing.
- Excellent understanding of production procedures and software employed in the team.
- Expert understanding of current game art processes, limitations, and dependencies.
- Strong ability to create believable, realistic environments in a real-time engine.
- Good interpersonal and motivational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Able to manage, plan, and organize time, working under pressure and with tight deadlines.
