About the Job

The Université du Luxembourg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Team Lead to join our Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the software development team and collaborating with researchers to transform prototypes into reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the software development team and guide software developers in best practices of software development, management, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with researchers to transform prototypes into functional software solutions.
  • Develop and implement software development methodologies and processes to ensure timely and transparent project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise in various programming languages, DevOps principles, and FOSS licensing.
  • Design scalable software architectures and provide architectural guidance.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with researchers, the Technology Transfer Office, Steering Committee, and industry partners.
Requirements
  • Over 5 years of experience in software development project management and leading development teams.
  • Previous roles include Senior/Lead Developer, Senior Architect/Release Manager, and/or Senior Software Project Manager at a tech company focused on creating software solutions involving research project results and/or F/OSS.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading development projects that translate complex scientific needs into functional software solutions.
  • Previous exposure to research environments will be considered an asset.
  • Business fluent in English.
