Your Role

The SnT Technology Transfer Office is looking for a Software Development Team Lead to lead the software development team, under the command of the Head of Technology Transfer Office, and a dedicated Steering Committee.

The software team's tasks include training and advising researchers on best practices in software development, conducting workshops, providing manuals and technical documentation, supporting proposal writing, and assisting with initial coding.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, proficient in project management using Agile/Scrum methodologies, and technical expertise in various programming languages, DevOps principles, and FOSS licensing.

They will also be skilled in designing scalable software architectures and providing architectural guidance, with excellent communication and time management skills.

Professional Background

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in software development project management and leading development teams, with previous roles including Senior/Lead Developer, Senior Architect/Release manager, and/or Senior Software project manager.

They will have a proven track record of successfully leading development projects that translate complex scientific needs into functional software solutions, with previous exposure to research environments being an asset.
