About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering team at Blackcat Media. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of software engineers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure the team's success.
  • Technical Excellence: Drive technical excellence across the team, ensuring the adoption of best practices, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Software Development: Collaborate with product management to plan and prioritize software development projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software applications.
  • People Development: Foster a culture of growth and development within the team, providing opportunities for professional and personal growth.
  • Strategic Direction: Contribute to the strategic direction of the development area, working closely with peers to drive business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in leading software engineering teams, with a strong technical background and expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and modern web technologies.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Language: Fluency in English and German, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
