About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Amazon Heidenheim GmbH - K82. As a key member of our Site Procurement Operations team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering strategic procurement projects for our internal business partners across local, regional, national, and European levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs, analyzing and justifying requirements, and managing complex projects with high spends, risks, and time constraints.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of analyzing scope, negotiating with vendors, and providing accurate metrics and reporting.
  • Lead the procurement operations process, from needs detection and definition to contracting and implementation follow-up, using Coupa and other tools.
  • Create and execute contractual agreements, driving contract compliance from vendors, and delivering complex RFIs and RFQs across multiple sites and business units.
  • Manage and ensure governance on supplier performance, ensuring a high service level in terms of lead time, quality, and maintenance, and collaborating with other global procurement teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for a local category, identifying and seizing savings opportunities, performing spend analysis, and supporting strategy definition for the country network.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and embed Amazon's sustainability goals and processes, reducing waste, reusing materials, and ensuring CSR compliance.
  • Meet targeted key performance indicators to deliver value for the business, including savings, financial metrics, sustainability, and compliance.
About the Team

The Site Procurement Operations team works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to provide procurement support and solutions. We are a key part of site operations, working with local stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions to complex on-site projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement or Supply Chain or significant procurement experience.
  • Relevant experience in a procurement environment.
  • Proficient computer literacy in MS office suite.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in sourcing, contract management, or equivalent role.
  • Negotiation skills (internal and external).
  • Contract management skills.
  • Fluent in German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree with Procurement or Supply Chain focus.
  • Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience of ERP (SAP/Coupa).
  • Ability to manage multiple complex and simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, analysis methodology, and problem-solving skills.
