Technical Author

At Alstom, we're seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team in Kassel. As a key member of our Maintenance and Operations team, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality documentation to support our locomotive platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing content in our modern Content Management System to maximize information reuse
  • Implementing customer requirements, including contract requirements
  • Analyzing and implementing feedback from assessors and authorities
  • Checking maintenance records for completeness and formal correctness
  • Creating mounting/demounting instructions according to drawings and research on vehicles

We value passion and attitude over experience, so we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Desired skills include:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Relevant experience in technical writing (authoring and editing)
  • Skills in working with a Content Management System
  • Desired competences: teamwork, problem solving, communication, building partnerships
  • Fluency in German and English
