About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Market Strategist to lead our energy strategy and ensure the resilience of our energy supply. This role involves deep knowledge of energy markets, grid outlooks, and market incentives, as well as the ability to formulate and implement strategies that enhance our energy independence and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive energy strategy that aligns with organizational goals for resilience, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of energy markets, grid outlooks, and regulatory environments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify and leverage market incentives, grants, and subsidies to support the transition to more resilient and sustainable energy models.
  • Contribute to the sourcing and procurement of energy supplies, focusing on reliability and sustainability.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with energy supply disruptions and market volatility.
  • Monitor and interpret energy regulations, policies, and compliance requirements at all levels.
  • Advocate for policy changes that support the organization's energy and resilience goals.
Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in energy markets, and resilience planning.
  • Strong understanding of energy market dynamics, grid operations, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing energy strategies and resilience plans.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional certification in energy management.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects, energy storage solutions, and smart grid technologies.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards.
