Manufacturing Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and improvement of state-of-the-art motion systems, including high-precision stages, active dumping flotation systems, and air-ball bearings.
- Lead Failure Analysis (FA) investigations and field system failure escalations in the area of motion components.
- Perform extensive data analysis to evaluate system performance.
- Partner with international motion system experts to drive continuous improvement.
- Modify existing motion control loops and develop stage test benches.
- Assemble, integrate, and test motion systems in manufacturing.
- Create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), structure Bills of Materials (BOMs), and develop test and assembly documentation.
- Generate and maintain process and equipment work instructions, drawings, and production documents.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in motion control.
- Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, LabView, or C.
- Knowledge of control and electrical systems.
- Project lead and project management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
