Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled OT Endpoint Engineer I to join our team at ADM. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software and hardware incidents related to operating systems and OT software applications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and OT software applications.
  • Install and upgrade software to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Take ownership of 2nd line support issues, carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to promote a first-class level of customer service.
  • Install, maintain, and support OT equipment, including infrastructure, printers, scanners, mobile devices, servers, and workstations.
  • Manage user account information, permissions, and rights, including groups within the OT Domain/AD.
  • Administer the OT Domain/AD, ensuring secure and efficient operation.
  • Administer the security landscape, including WSUS, DLP, AV, Whitelisting, and other security measures.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems related to desktop security for OT-IT devices.
  • Participate in new technology evaluation in coordination with team specialists.
  • Monitor and ensure successful daily, weekly, and monthly tape and disk backups.
  • Create, maintain, and publish relevant support documentation to assist users in resolving incidents and service requests.
  • Provide project support on imaging, testing, and rollouts.
  • Aid and support with installations for cabling systems, including local area network cables, network interface cards, and switches.
  • Aid and support with third-party suppliers and vendors for installations, repairs, and maintenance on OT systems.
  • Provide executive and VIP support to ADM users on-site.
  • Provide advanced support to GT for complex projects.
Requirements, Skills, and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 2-year degree in an IT/OT-related field or a minimum of 2 years of equivalent IT/OT work experience and required performance level.
  • Good attention to business relationship management and partnering with higher-level business users to ensure best levels of service are met.
  • Project methodology skills.
  • Flexibility and autonomy.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to show initiative.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload and perform under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and with enthusiasm.
  • Good English language skills.
  • Driving permit.
  • Flexibility to work during weekends, public holidays, or after business hours on rare occasions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows XP, 7, 8, and 10, Windows Servers 20XX).
  • Knowledge of managing users, groups, and computers in Active Directory console for the OT Domain/AD.
  • Knowledge of IT-OT security (WSUS, DLP, AV, Whitelisting,...).
  • Knowledge of ITIL and the IT service management tool – Service Now.
  • Security skills and experience.
  • Antivirus software knowledge.
  • Blacklisting and whitelisting knowledge.
  • Systems-management knowledge.
  • Knowledge of WSUS-based functionalities.
  • Base skills and experience in OT network standards.
  • DMZ and firewall knowledge.
  • ISA network level structure knowledge (I/O, PLC/Process automation, SCADA, DCS, PDA,...).
  • IP structure, DHCP, and DNS knowledge.
  • Base skills in Active Directory/Domain administration.
  • Administration of users and rights.
  • Administration of technical systems.
  • Rudimentary knowledge of policies for technical systems.
  • Skills and experience in technical devices (COM-servers, scanners, cameras,...).
  • Setup of devices (static IP, usage of telnet).
  • Understanding of RF-devices (4xx/8xxMhz, Bluetooth).
  • Understanding of Wi-Fi architecture (, Wireless HART, etc.).
  • Gateways (VPN, OPC, Profinet, Profibus) knowledge.
  • Skills and experience in technical, server-based systems.
  • Server hardware knowledge.
  • Virtualization knowledge.
  • Terminal servers knowledge.
  • Skills and experience in technical workstations.
  • Windows 10 LTSB/LTSC knowledge.
  • Knowledge of interfaces (RS232, 422, 485, USB, special interfaces/interface cards).
  • OT-related processes knowledge.
  • Backup processes knowledge.
  • Monitoring system knowledge for technical devices.
  • External access through terminal server to technical devices.
