Category Manager CAPEX

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager CAPEX & MRO to join our Intersnack Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the assigned categories for maintenance materials and services, capital equipment, building, infrastructure, and installation services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the category strategy for CAPEX & MRO, ensuring alignment with the company's overall procurement strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors across the globe.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, track portfolio positions, and manage category strategy plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
- Develop and present market insights and trends to key stakeholders, including senior management and directors.
- Support negotiations of major MRO and Capex contracts, and lead smaller local contract negotiations.
- Regularly report on MRO and Capex market trends, gathered through supplier and trade show visits.
- Develop and achieve a pipeline of initiatives, projects, and activities focused on sustainable cost base reduction.
- Solve operational issues, such as efficiency workstreams, supply interruptions, and contractual disputes.
- Support the team and company in the development and application of wider policies and objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of procurement experience in capital equipment & MRO, ideally in collaboration with Engineering.
- Supply chain/warehouse management experience.
- Ability to speak the engineers' and operations' language.
- Fluent spoken and written English and German required; skills in further languages welcome.
- Assertive, convincing, and with a commercial and competitive mindset.
- Solid intercultural orientation.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and be a valuable team player.
- Personal drive, proactivity, results-oriented mindset, and business acumen.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally, mainly within Europe (up to 40%).
