Student Assistant: Automated Production of Stem Cell Therapeutics

At Fraunhofer IPT in Aachen, we are working on making production more digital, flexible, and sustainable. In the department "Bio adaptive Production", we develop automated systems and software for efficient and cost-effective production of biological materials. This enables the upscaling of biological processes for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to optimize laboratory automation with Industry 4.0 technologies.
Responsibilities- Support in the cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells
- Implementation of bioreactor runs and its analysis afterwards
- Studying biotechnology, biology, or biomedical engineering or a comparable subject
- Solid background in (stem) cell cultivation and sterile work beneficial
- Ideally initial experience in working with bioreactors and chromatography systems
- A high degree of motivation, initiative, independence, and team spirit
- Good language skills in German and/or English
- Collaboration in innovative research projects and the chance to implement your knowledge from your studies in practice
- You become part of the team from the very beginning, can contribute your ideas, and take on tasks on your own responsibility
