Join Our Team as a Student Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled student research assistant to support our team in the development of customised laser beam sources for various applications. As a student research assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with our experienced team members, and contribute to the advancement of laser technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experimental characterisation of optical components and lasers
  • Development and conceptualisation of experiments and lasers
  • Design and construction of mechanical components and creation of technical drawings
  • Simulation of fibre optic effects and design of fibre lasers
Requirements:
  • Currently studying engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable degree programme
  • Characterised by a careful, reliable, and conscientious way of working
  • Initial experience in the field of laser technology is an advantage, but not essential

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff. The weekly working hours are from 10 to 19 hours and will be agreed individually at the interview. The position is initially limited to 12 months, a longer term is possible.
