Cost Engineer Opportunity at OHB System AG

OHB System AG, a leading European space company, is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to join its team in Oberpfaffenhofen. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing cost engineering activities across various projects, from feasibility studies to implementation proposals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support cost engineering activities in different frames, including feasibility studies, implementation proposals, and cost analyses.
  • Provide costing expertise to project teams, ensuring the collection and validation of cost input from internal and external sources.
  • Coordinate cost engineering activities to deliver high-quality cost analyses on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to cost optimization activities, ensuring that technical, programmatic, financial, and geographical constraints are properly reflected.
  • Review cost analyses according to internal policies and align with internal stakeholders, including management, business development, project teams, and departments.

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics).
  • Strong experience in cost engineering, with advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly VBA coding and high-level skills with MS Word.
  • Excellent communication skills in oral and written English and German.
  • Experience in the space sector, with a strong understanding of cost engineering principles and practices.
