Cost Engineer Job Description

OHB System AG is a leading space company in Europe, part of the listed high-tech group OHB SE. We are looking for a Cost Engineer to join our team in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Your Tasks

• Manage and support cost engineering activities in various frames, from feasibility studies to implementation proposals, for different domains and customers.
• Provide costing expertise to the project team, collecting and validating cost input from internal and external sources.
• Coordinate cost engineering activities to deliver high-quality cost analyses on time.
• Support cost optimization activities, considering technical, programmatic, financial, and geographical constraints.
• Ensure cost analyses are reviewed according to internal policies and aligned with stakeholders.
• Contribute to the definition of internal processes and tools associated with cost engineering.
• Organize and execute in-house trainings on cost engineering.

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in cost engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of MS suite, including VBA coding and high-level skills with MS Word.
• Very good communication skills in oral and written English and German.
• Experience in the space sector.
