Job Description

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our product development team. As a key member of our backend team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and developing the essential components of our platform, ensuring it's robust, scalable, and deployable to municipalities worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a Spring-based application with a microservice architecture
  • Adhere to our architecture and follow industry standards and best practices
  • Coordinate API contracts with other teams (mobile & web)
  • Responsible for backend deployment and process (GitLab CI/CD)
  • Collaborate with the technical architect, test team, front-end, and UI teams for smooth product feature delivery
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Ensure code quality
  • Participate in our agile development process and coordinate with other backend developers
Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field
  • 6+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer
  • Previous experience working remotely
  • Strong software design skills
  • Strong algorithmic skills
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Excellent English speaking skills (writing and verbal)
  • EU Timezone Candidates (CET +/- 2)
Tools and Technologies
  • Object-Oriented Programming with Java
  • GraphQL
  • Reactive GraphQL
  • Spring Framework
  • Microservice Architectures
  • Strong understanding of source control management and CI/CD
  • Experience with Git source control management
  • GitLab CI/CD
