IT Network Engineer for Industrial Automation

We are looking for an experienced IT Network Engineer to join our project team, working on plant projects. This exciting role offers a wide range of tasks in an international environment with a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • In close collaboration with R&D and product management, you will design, conceptualize, implement, and document customer solutions, machines, and systems, focusing on IT/OT and cyber security.
  • You will administer relevant solutions and ensure network operation (security, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN).
  • Together with customers and internal stakeholders, you will develop and document IT infrastructure solutions, adhering to quality and IT architecture guidelines, while coordinating system security requirements.
  • You will perform network tests of customer solutions, machines, and systems.
  • In cooperation with the After Sales department, you will be responsible for analyzing and rectifying faults, optimizing, and continuously developing existing systems/customer solutions.
  • You will provide support in risk assessments for CE marking/machinery regulation.
Requirements:
  • You have completed a university degree in computer engineering or IT.
  • Relevant professional experience in a project environment at an international industrial company, preferably in plant/mechanical engineering, is an advantage.
  • You possess extensive knowledge of network technology and security.
  • You have already gained experience in dealing with relevant operating systems and network protocols.
  • You have in-depth and comprehensive know-how in IT/OT and cyber security, as well as corresponding cyber risk management procedures.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of implementing relevant requirements according to IEC 62443 and ISO 27001.
  • Your English language skills are excellent.
  • You are committed and enjoy working independently in a structured, quality-, customer-, and solution-oriented manner.
  • You thrive in interdisciplinary and international teams and have a hands-on mentality.
  • You possess initiative and a convincing manner.
  • You are willing to travel internationally to commission machines and systems.
