Job Description
We are seeking an experienced International Governance Specialist to join our team in the Corporate Internal Audit (CIA) department. This role will be responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and measuring the performance of a comprehensive system of internal controls throughout adidas.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Internal Controls Framework: Supporting the Global ICS team in defining, documenting, and enabling testing of the framework of key internal controls across all business processes, sales channels, and entity level controls.
- ICS Testing Manual: Maintaining the 'ICS testing manual' and relevant standard operating procedures to ensure high-quality ICS testing at Market / GBS / Corporate Function and entity level.
- Communications: Supporting ICS leadership with preparing timely and regular communication to the company-wide internal controls community, key contacts at Market / Function / GBS, and Corporate level.
- Quality Assurance: Reviewing ICS testing results and documentation at Market / GBS / Corporate Function and entity level.
- Reporting: Supporting ICS leadership by preparing timely and regular reporting of results of internal controls testing, actions to remediate issues, internal controls automation, key initiatives, and improvement opportunities.
- Business Partnering: Collaborating with local ICS colleagues and Corporate Functions to provide data sets for ICS Testing, support during ICS Testing, and other business-related activities.
- Knowledge and Skills: Continuously expanding and upgrading knowledge and skills by utilizing resources such as reading materials, attending training workshops, and obtaining a breadth of understanding of key processes, systems, initiatives, and business models at adidas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A university degree in a business-related discipline, such as Accounting, Controlling, Finance, Management, Business Administration, or International Business.
- At least 2 years of experience in assurance, advisory, or consulting, preferably within a multinational organization or professional services firm.
- A strong interest, passion, or practical experience in the consumer products industry, diverse sales channels, and brands.
- Professional designations, such as CIA, CPA, CISA, or CFE, are preferred.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
Location: This role is based in Herzogenaurach, Germany, with the possibility of remote work.
Language: English is the primary language used in this role, with additional language skills being an advantage.
