Renewable Energy Safety Specialist for Offshore Infrastructure

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Process/Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Renewables Certification. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe design and operation of offshore substations and converter platforms.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Covering all steps in the certification process from review of early designs to design verification, fabrication surveillance, commissioning, and periodic inspection of installations in operation
- Besides the technical work additional project management activities are expected about the different projects
- Work in an international environment with interaction across DNV organisation, and internal and external stakeholders
- Collaboration and interaction with DNV clients on a daily basis
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of experts, leveraging your technical skills and knowledge to drive the growth of our renewable energy business.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- An engineering degree ( or equivalent)
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience from a similar position, preferably from the consulting or engineering sector
- Technical safety generalist with experience in and skills/knowledge/interest within fire safety engineering with a passion for diving into the detailed design of to the overall safety of the offshore substation installation, fire and explosion, escape and evacuation, risk assessments, functional safety etc.
- Experience with manufacturing survey, FAT, and offshore commissioning will be seen as positive
- Strong English skills (written and spoken)
