About the Job:
We're seeking an Operational Quality Enhancement Specialist to join our Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team in Berlin, BE, DEU. As part of ATS, you'll work with a diverse team that's key to our success. You'll run observations and audits to identify areas for process enhancement and direct operations teams and central support teams in recommending changes. Your goal will be to positively influence operational quality at the site and share best practices and ideas with our EU network.
About the Role:
As an Operational Quality Enhancement Specialist, your responsibilities will include reviewing daily process defect data, identifying root causes, developing and aligning action plans, and evaluating their impact in collaboration with site Operations. You'll also provide proactive feedback to operations management on quality-related issues, collaborate with central teams on projects and system enhancements, and gain expertise in key Middle Mile Network (MMN) process paths and exception handling. Additionally, you'll perform daily process audits in Sortation centers to ensure adherence to Process Maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), highlighting non-adherence and engaging Active Corrections and Enhanced Services (ACES) for necessary changes.
You'll conduct regular reviews of quality metrics with site leadership, including concessions, damages, DEA, returns, and scan compliance, as well as customer feedback. You'll establish effective communication channels for sharing quality-related updates and best practices within assigned sites/region.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation or supply chain management, preferably in a high-volume logistics environment, as well as project management skills. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university is required, along with proficiency in English and German, both verbally and written. Experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, generate ideas, execute, and measure success is essential. Advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated experience querying relational databases using SQL are also required. Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency in Python or any programming language with strong data analysis skills, are desirable.
