About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Entity Controller to join our team in Frankfurt. As a key member of our Controllers team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for our legal entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory audits, working closely with our auditors.
  • Lead on technical accounting areas, particularly German GAAP, and provide guidance to the team.
  • Facilitate communication with regulators on accounting matters and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Review and analyze monthly and quarterly management accounts under US GAAP, IFRS, and German GAAP.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team in New York to ensure timely and accurate quarterly consolidated reporting.
  • Review and analyze reporting to the Federal Reserve Board and coordinate with the US, UK, and EU tax teams on local and foreign tax issues.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business and stay up-to-date with business developments and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (German Chartered Auditor or National equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in an accounting environment, preferably in the financial services industry in Germany.
  • Business fluency in German (native) and English.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting rules (German GAAP / IFRS / USGAAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and time management.
