ESG Sustainability Specialist

As an ESG Sustainability Specialist at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, you will play a crucial role in driving our corporate goals and visions forward. You will support our cross-functional teams in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programs, ensuring compliance with the LkSG (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtgesetz) and monitoring ESG-related performance indicators. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing data management systems for sustainability data, performing detailed analyses, and generating reports to assess sustainability performance. You will also collaborate with internal teams and external partners for data collection and verification, and conduct risk assessments and evaluations regarding human rights and environmental standards in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs
  • Support in developing and implementing processes for compliance with the LkSG
  • Monitor and analyze ESG-related performance indicators
  • Maintain and enhance data management systems for sustainability data
  • Perform detailed analyses and generate reports to assess sustainability performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for data collection and verification
  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluations regarding human rights and environmental standards in the supply chain

Requirements:

  • Completed university studies, ideally in the field of freight forwarding and logistics or sustainability management
  • Experience in sustainability reporting, at best according to CSRD or GRI
  • Communicative personality, high degree of initiative and independence
  • Confident use of common office applications
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic about sustainability topics
  • Basic knowledge of integrated management systems
  • Very good written and spoken English
