Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager Port Cost Optimization and Logistics to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing port costs, identifying saving potential, and implementing measures to achieve cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze port costs, port services, and processes to identify areas for cost reduction and implement measures to achieve cost optimization.
- Support the port cost budget planning process and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting.
- Coordinate and conduct purchasing activities and contract negotiation with third-party vendors to secure the best possible prices.
- Create and present reports and analysis to communicate with all relevant stakeholders and contribute to an efficient itinerary and port planning process.
- Support the berth reservation process for AIDA and Costa vessels in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Business Administration, and/or Purchasing and Logistic Management.
- At least 1.5 years of professional experience in business administration, shipping, or logistics, preferably in a cruise shipping company.
- Previous professional experience in finance, controlling, or any related field, with experience in developing financial reports and presentations.
- Junior leadership experience and excellent negotiation skills.
- Result-driven personality with a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges and driving results, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Very good English language skills, as English is the company's official language.
- Proficient computer skills, with excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint, and previous experience in using MXP is a plus.
