About the Role
Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Port Cost Optimization Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing port costs, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize our port operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze port costs and services to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization
- Support the development of port cost budgets and forecasts
- Coordinate purchasing activities and negotiate contracts with third-party vendors
- Develop and present reports and analysis to stakeholders to inform decision-making
- Support the berth reservation process for AIDA and Costa vessels
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 1.5 years of experience in business administration, shipping, or logistics, preferably in a cruise shipping company
- Previous experience in finance, controlling, or a related field, with expertise in financial reporting and presentation
- Junior leadership experience and excellent negotiation skills
- Result-driven personality with a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Very good English language skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
