Job Title: Plumber for Water and Sewerage Systems

We are seeking a skilled Plumber for Water and Sewerage Systems to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, and operating utility systems, equipment, and apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and lays out the routing, placement, slant, slope, and fall of utility systems, equipment, and apparatus.
  • Applies theoretical and practical knowledge of trade practices to interpret building plans and area line maps, engineer drawings, and use formulas to determine pipe dimensions, scope, and fall.
  • Performs alterations and enlargements on utility systems in barrack-type buildings, hospitals, or other structures that provide a combination and variety of plumbing systems.
  • Hangs or lays pipe sections into positions, assembles joints, valves, and apparatus below and above ground types, and operates and repairs Pump/Lift Stations, rainwater retention systems, oil, grease, and starch separators, vehicles and aircraft wash racks, and fire hydrants and pipes for these systems.
  • Inspects and tests piping systems after completion of alterations and enlargements for proper tightness and safe functioning.

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade.
  • 5 years of specialized experience, or 8 years of experience with at least 3 years at the wage group 5 or equivalent level.
  • Valid driver's license class C.
  • English Language Proficiency Level A1 and German Language Proficiency Level B1.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Working on weekends and holidays required.
  • On-call duty required.
