Arts and Crafts Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Arts and Crafts Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As an Arts and Crafts Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and practical assistance in the Arts and Crafts activities to individuals and/or groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in providing technical guidance and practical assistance in phase of the Arts and Crafts activities to individuals and/or groups.
  • Explain and demonstrate the proper and safe operation of power and hand tools to be used in the following crafts: Woodwork, leathercrafts, jewelry making, enameling and graphic art.
  • Provide blocks of instructions and demonstrations on the many possible techniques of rating wood, leather, metal, clay and other materials, the application of proper techniques in cutting and assembling various materials for best utilization.
  • Explain corrective measures to be taken.
  • Read and assist patrons in reading patterns, drawings and blue prints, therefore promoting the understanding in accomplishing their projects.
  • Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • English Language Proficiency level A2 and German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
  • Must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a military driver's license.
  • Office automation skills required.
