About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Controller to join our team at Raisin Bank. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to ensure compliance with German financial regulations (HGB, IFRS) and banking industry standards.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to inform business growth initiatives.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data with tech-driven tools and drive business growth.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to senior management to support business growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role, preferably within the banking or FinTech industry.
  • Understanding of German accounting principles (HGB) and international standards (IFRS) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
