About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Editor to join our team at tekom. As a Technical Editor, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for our products, including operation and maintenance manuals for new and used cranes in German.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cranes, including operation and maintenance manuals
- Plan and control translations of technical documentation
- Design and create print-ready templates for crane documentation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in production, prototype development, and testing
- Process requests from service, marketing, and design teams
About You:
- Completed technical training or education, with additional training in technical editing
- Strong technical understanding and ability to read technical drawings
- Experience with DTP programs (preferably FrameMaker) and familiarity with content management systems and structured XML documents
- Team player with excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while adhering to internal guidelines
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
