Job Title: Technical Support Specialist - North Germany

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team in North Germany. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first and second-level support for end-device equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers, and barcode scanners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-level end-user support for all end-device equipment.
  • Collaborate with the System and Network Engineering Teams and the Service Desk to resolve technical issues related to desktops, WAN, LAN, and servers.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for new tasks and updates to existing tasks, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Participate in the global support on-call rotation to provide support for various geographic locations.
  • Monitor email notifications from the Service Desk and resolve or escalate issues as required.
  • Provide change management support during weekends and adhere to DP World's change, incident, and problem management processes.
  • Proactively identify security issues and escalate them to the TSS team lead or appropriate manager.
  • Provide onsite support for new site launches and server/network refreshes.
Requirements:
  • Computer science qualification or equivalent professional training and certification.
  • Proficient work experience in a technical field.
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to create and document process and procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with a positive approach and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, and software.
  • Good understanding of network systems and protocols, as well as server hardware and operating systems.
