Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager

The Deputy Manager of Logistics and Warehouse plays a crucial role in managing the internal operations of the warehouse, ensuring that both inbound and outbound processes run seamlessly. Collaborating closely with Shift Leaders and the Warehouse Manager, this position emphasizes maintaining exceptional service levels, enhancing team productivity, and upholding safety protocols while optimizing cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate efficient operations through timely shipment preparation and loading
- Conduct capacity planning and oversee the monitoring of technical equipment and safety protocols
- Address service-related issues and provide assistance to production facilities, primary transportation, and customer support
- Oversee stock aging and perform audits to implement corrective measures
- Lead a team of around 45 staff members
System, Automation, and Improvement Initiatives:
- Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction and service enhancement
- Assist in the enhancement of warehouse management systems and improvement initiatives
- Collaborate on upcoming projects related to warehouse functionality
- Coordinate inventory counts and financial reconciliations
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in logistics, ideally within the FMCG sector or a related field
- Strong team leadership abilities
- Fluency in both German and English
