About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX Design Team Lead to join our team at Aroundhome. As a key member of our UX team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of dedicated UX designers and championing their personal development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design, with several years of operational professional experience and ideally experience in leading small design teams. You will play a hybrid role, working closely with our product managers and developers to drive forward the overarching development of our UX, visual design language, and working methods.

You will be responsible for the UX design process, from initial idea to creating prototypes and UX testing together with our UX researchers. Your knowledge of different user types, user-centered design principles, conversion optimisation, and the latest UX trends will enable you to create captivating and effective design solutions that inspire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of UX designers and champion their personal development
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to drive forward UX development
  • Responsible for the UX design process, from initial idea to prototype creation and UX testing
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of user needs and preferences
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or comparable training in UX design
  • Several years of operational professional experience in UX design
  • Experience in leading small design teams
  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and conversion optimisation
  • Proficiency in Figma and HTML/CSS
  • Fluency in English and good to very good knowledge of German
