We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager (d/f/m) - Life Science Research to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will spearhead the growth of direct sales and enhance margins in one of the most rapidly expanding sectors of life science research.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee, manage, and expand our microscopy operations in the broader region, nurturing existing accounts while identifying new clients to achieve ambitious growth objectives.
- Formulate strategies to acquire new business through comprehensive geographic key account planning, account mapping, and networking.
- Coordinate and leverage our exceptional team of Advanced Workflow Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Specialists, Marketing professionals, and Channel Partners to ensure our clients engage with the right experts at the right times.
- Determine the approach and service delivery for our clients within the designated geographical key account area.
- Proactively manage opportunities and the sales pipeline to provide accurate forecasts for effective business planning.
YOUR PROFILE
- A degree in life sciences (biology, physics, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated sales expertise in a relevant industry (medical devices, life sciences), with prior exposure to microscopy highly preferred.
- Experience in managing or leading cross-functional teams, whether through direct management or in a matrix structure, or a strong desire to take that next career step.
- Operational sales skills paired with a strategic mindset, enabling you to define mid-term strategies for a team and actively participate in their execution.
- Fluency in both German and English.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Regular travel within the specified territory, with a minimum of three days on-site with clients.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
