Position Title: Counter-UAS Program Liaison
KBR is in search of a meticulous and collaborative professional to serve as a representative for the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO) at the U.S. European Command (EUCOM). This is a full-time role based in Stuttgart, Germany, offering on-site expertise in Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) and promoting effective communication between the JCO and the relevant organizations.
A successful candidate will exhibit strong analytical and organizational capabilities, with the proficiency to distill complex information into actionable insights for decision-makers. The ideal individual will also possess experience in strategic communication and writing tailored for senior leadership audiences. A self-motivated approach with minimal need for supervision is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the JCO representative on-site at EUCOM.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the JCO's organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities, fostering relationships with stakeholders to enhance customer support.
- Participate in JCO Governance and Sub-working group meetings, relaying pertinent updates and initiatives to the EUCOM customer.
- Engage in monthly JCO LNO virtual synchronization meetings and attend the Quarterly JCO LNO conference in the National Capital Region.
- Provide logistical and administrative assistance to JCO team members visiting EUCOM, including scheduling and access coordination.
- Stay informed about emerging C-sUAS technologies and systems relevant to the supported organization's area of responsibility.
- Assist in the development and integration of Department of Defense efforts related to C-sUAS systems.
- Prepare various written materials (reports, information papers, executive summaries) to articulate and defend positions of the JCO or supported organization.
- Represent the JCO in C-UAS-related meetings and forums as necessary.
- Draft responses to high-profile inquiries from Senior Leaders and Congressional requests for information.
- Understand the C-sUAS requirements and initiatives of the organization, including partner engagements, to effectively support customer objectives in collaboration with the JCO.
- Provide C-sUAS subject matter expertise as needed.
- Prepare and deliver briefings to JCO and CCMD leadership and stakeholders.
- Be ready to travel within the EUCOM area of responsibility as requested by the JCO or supported organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least one year directly working with JCO on C-sUAS matters.
- Experience in supporting high-profile programs with interest from Senior Leaders and Congress, including responding to their requests for information.
- Familiarity with bi-national or multi-national initiatives.
- Knowledge of C-sUAS within the broader context of Air and Missile Defense.
- Experience attending and contributing to JCO Governance forums and familiarity with the JCO JCSPAR process.
- A Secret security clearance is required; a current Top Secret SCI clearance is preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to analysts and leadership.
- Willingness to travel frequently as needed.
Additional Information:
This position requires on-site presence with the supported organization, and travel to the JCO headquarters is necessary, along with anticipated travel throughout the EUCOM area of responsibility.
