Postdoctoral Researcher: Developing a Novel Optical Microscopy Platform for Fertility Research

As a postdoctoral researcher at EMBL, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking project that aims to bridge the gap between basic and clinical research in fertility. Our team is developing a novel hybrid microscopy platform that combines high-resolution fluorescence lightsheet with label-free optical coherence and Brillouin microscopies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in the field of fertility and reproductive biology
- Develop and implement novel imaging techniques for fertility research
- Collaborate with the EMBL Imaging Centre and research group of Robert Prevedel
- Contribute to the development of artificial intelligence-based models for fertility research
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g. biology, physics, engineering)
- Maximum 8 years after a doctoral degree (PhD)
- At least one original publication in a peer-reviewed journal
- Background in relevant methods (e.g. microscopy, image analysis)
- Contract duration: 3 years
- Grading: stipend
